Control your Heating from Anywhere

Heatmiser Neo has been designed to offer the very best way to control your heating & hot water from anywhere and so it should be no surprise that neoKit 2 was recently awarded the Great Pick award from Computer Active.

The neoKit 2 consists of 3 parts. The neoStat, this replaces your room thermostat. The neoStat-hw, this replaces your hot water programmer and the neoHub, this connects to your broadband router and is the gateway to your system from the app.

Why Neo? Neo is mains powered so replaces your existing wired thermostat which means there are no batteries to worry about. neoStats communicate between each other via a mesh network, resulting in a much more reliable and far reaching network than a standard RF System.

Neo can support up to 32 zones and we don’t just mean that you can control each room independently. We designed Neo to be easy to use by providing Global features that offer complete and flexible control of your heating system. Features such as the ability to switch the entire home into Away mode, a feature that will reduce the temperature in all of your rooms or perhaps the temperature hold feature that enables you to apply a temperature in a select number of rooms for an hour or two – perfect for when you have guests staying late.

The firmware in Neo is automatically updated so you can always be sure your system will be up to date with all the new features as soon as they become available.

Geo Location now available on Heatmiser Neo

Geo Location is an exciting new feature that makes it even easier to reduce your energy costs. Neo will lower the temperature in your home when it detects the last person has left and will turn the heating back on when it will detects someone is on their way home.

Using the Location Services feature on your iPhone or Android SmartPhone, Neo can now help you reduce your energy consumption by turning the heating off when you’re out.

Supporting Multi Users, Neo can automatically reduce the temperature in your home when the last person leaves and increase the temperature when the first person returns.

Neo has always been about Multi Zone and our Geo Location Feature is no different by allowing you to select which zones you want to control when you leave or return.

Geo Location is perfect for busy households when a fixed heating schedule just isn’t practical.

How does Geo Location work?

Geo Location uses the mobile phone masts, nearby WiFi and your GPS to calculate your position. When you setup Geo Location on Neo, you set a leaving and returning trigger. When you pass these triggers, Neo will adjust the temperature in your home automatically.

Reduce your Energy Cost and Return to a Cozy Home

You can decide the temperature that Neo will control to when you leave home and again when you return. The temperature you ask for will depend on the type of heating system you have and the time your home takes to warm up.

Notifications on your SmartPhone

You will see a notification on your phone when Neo has adjusted the temperature in your home – so you always know when Neo is saving you energy.

You’re in Control?

You can set the distance for both leaving and returning home, so don’t worry if you travel on foot, by car or high speed train – we have you covered.

Flexible Programming – That’s the Neo Way

Other systems try and second guess what temperature you would like in your home. With Neo, you can program comfort levels to provide background heat and use the Geo Location feature to increase the temperature when you are returning home or to turn the heating off when you’re going out.

Neo supports Multi Users

Each User will have their own login details for Neo. This means Geo Location will only turn the heating off when the house is empty.

Each user can have their own preferred temperature settings – giving you a more personal Neo experience.

A new feature of the neoApp is the ability to have multiple users, providing an easy way of giving friends and family access to your heating system.

Underfloor Heating – The right control

Understanding the heating control options

Deciding on whether to have underfloor heating installed is one thing, but deciding on how you will control the system is another important decision. Let’s think for a moment how it would be to have a single light switch for the entire house – it really doesn’t make sense does it? However, until recently, a single heating control would have been accepted.

Zoning the Heating System

Underfloor heating lends itself to being zoned, dividing areas of your home into separate circuits that can be controlled differently. The more zones you have, the more underfloor heating controls you will need.

Let’s assume you have decided on all the different zones in your home. There are the obvious zones, such as the kitchen, living room, office and bedrooms, but don’t overlook any en-suites. You may want to control the tile surface so it’s warm underfloor when you step out of the shower.

Smarter Control of your Underfloor Heating System

The more zones you have, the more important you need to think about how you will control the system. A heating control in each zone may sound ideal, after all it’s giving you the flexibility to control the heating and will reduce your energy consumption – right? Well yes, and no. It’s only going to reduce your energy consumption if you adjust the settings within the heating control regularly, to match how you are using your home. Walking around your home to turn down each thermostat on your way out really isn’t going to happen is it ?

Heatmiser Neo offers offer control of up to 32 zones from your SmartPhone or Tablet. A neoStat is installed in each room and the neoHub connects to your broadband router – the installation really is a simple plug and play process.

It allows you to place the whole system in to Away mode, placing all the zones into Setback mode. It lets you set pre-defined comfort levels that are stored in the neoHub ready for activating when the time is right, for example when you change your work shift. It lets you hold a temperature in certain zones for a number of hours, ideal for when you have guests. All of these features are available on our free SmartPhone & Tablet Apps – available for iPhone/iPad and Android and we are the first controls company in the UK to support Windows Phone.

Heatmiser Neo has been designed to give you total control of your underfloor heating. It lets you control your heating system the way you want – central control within your home and remote control from anywhere in the world.
